Safety and compliance

Nothing starts without a scope

Work, materials, rate, timing, safety notes and who supplies what are agreed and confirmed in writing before anyone attends site.

Approved people only

Teams come from the approved partner list, with a partner reference, job card and before-and-after photographs. PRESTA does not provide unverified casual labour.

Qualified work stays qualified

Electrical, fire, height, lifting and certification-sensitive work is carried out by qualified personnel or it is declined.

Site conditions decide

Access, power, water, working hours, weather and site safety affect whether work can proceed. Confirmed at survey, not on arrival.

Lifting and handling

Load-rated equipment is used to its stated working load limit. Configuration and inspection requirements are confirmed before the lift.

Security systems: security and anti-theft systems require site survey, product suitability confirmation, safety checks and professional installation. PRESTA does not guarantee robbery prevention, police response or alarm outcome.

Approved manpower: PRESTA does not provide unverified casual labour. Approved manpower support is subject to verification, scope, safety and compliance.

What we require before work starts

Site induction

Where a site has one, our people attend it. Tell us at booking so it is scheduled rather than discovered at the gate.

Isolation

Power, water or gas isolated before work where the task requires it, and confirmed by the site.

Access equipment

Ladders, towers and platforms suitable for the height and the surface. Improvised access is refused.

Permits

Hot work, confined space and height permits where the site operates a permit system.

Safe working area

Space to work, and the area kept clear of others while the work is done.

Emergency arrangements

Where the exits are, who to call, and where the first aid is.

Work we will stop or decline

Saying no on site is cheaper for everyone than an incident. These are declined regardless of schedule pressure.

Live electrical work where isolation is possible and has been refused.

Work at height without suitable access — a chair on a table is not access.

Confined space entry without the correct equipment, testing and standby arrangements.

Work requiring a licence or certification we do not hold. A qualified contractor is arranged instead.

Structural work where the condition is unknown and no assessment has been done.

Anything the person on site judges unsafe at the time, whether or not it was agreed beforehand.

A stopped job is reported the within the agreed response target, with the reason and what would need to change. It is not left for the invoice to explain.
