How it runs

From enquiry to completion

  1. Enquiry. Send the requirement with location, timing and site details.
  2. Scope. We confirm what is involved, who is required and what it will cost.
  3. Written confirmation. Scope, rate, timing and safety notes agreed before anything starts.
  4. Execution. Execution is carried out by an appropriate independent specialist provider, with PRESTA coordinating the scope and completion record.
  5. Record. Job card, photographs where relevant and completion confirmation.

Delivery: delivery is subject to route schedule, vehicle availability, loading and unloading feasibility, payment status, weather and site access.
Availability: PRESTA support is subject to service area, partner availability, vehicle availability, site condition, safety and written scope confirmation.

What a delivery costs

Charged by zone, vehicle and load — not by a flat rate, because a three-wheeler of paint to Ponda and a truck of steel to Mapusa are not the same job.

Distance is measured round trip, because that is what the vehicle actually does. A 30 km delivery is a 60 km journey, and a rate quoted one way is a rate that does not cover the return.

Two-wheeler

Spares, samples, small hardware, an urgent single item.

Three-wheeler

Up to around 750 kg. Paint, sanitaryware, tools, mixed small loads. Reaches narrow lanes.

Pickup

1 to 2.5 tonnes. Mixed loads, cement in tens of bags, boards, ladders.

LCV

3.5 to 7 tonnes. Steel bundles, cement pallets, blocks.

Truck

Bulk sand, aggregate, full steel loads, project deliveries. Needs turning space.

Crane or hydraulic

Long sections, heavy machines, roofing over 6 m.

Tell us the access before the load is made up. A narrow lane, a low cable, a gate too tight for a tipper, or no one on site to unload — each changes the vehicle, and finding out on arrival costs a failed delivery that still has to be paid for.

What we need, and what is not included

Send with the request

Collection point, delivery address, what the load is and roughly what it weighs, when it is needed, who receives it, and anything about the access that matters.

Not included unless quoted

Unloading labour, carrying above ground floor, waiting beyond a reasonable period, and return of goods where a delivery fails.

A failed delivery is still a journey. Nobody on site, no access, or a refused load is charged, because the vehicle and driver were committed. Confirming who receives it avoids almost all of them.
